It’s about time the GC gave us shopaholics and style loving, fashion blooded women somewhere to do our bit to help pump up the economy… And with the opening of Robina Town Centre’s 300 boutique and specialty retail stores earlier this year and the official opening of Marina Mirage last night - Ladies and Gents, your GC shopping and styling heaven experience awaits you!!!

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been looking forward to the Grand opening of Marina Mirage since I received the invitation…. Natalie Gruzlewski (Marina Mirage’s Ambassador) looked amazing (as always) and there was a buzz in the air as ladies wandered around with champagne in one hand, canapes in another – with the credit card at close proximity to check out the latest fashions.

There were 3 parades – the first casual elegance showcasing Sunburn, French Connection, Lorna Jane, Side Street and Witchery the second men’s style featuring Gant, Tommy Bahama, John Forsyth For Men, Upper Deck, Mandate, Rodd & Gunn and the third, my favourite of the night – high fashion – Little Joe, Carla Zampatti, Zimmerman, Charlie Brown, and Christensen Copenhagen. I must say I’m quite partial to Carla Zampatti’s elegance and classic look, she does it so well.

I don’t know about you but I get excited at the thought of going shopping and seeing who’s doing what – I really was born to shop …the only problem is at the end of the month when that dreaded credit card statement comes in the mail and you look at it in detail and think no……I couldn’t possibly have, how did I end up spending?…..So when Monday morning comes it’s easier to get over the Mondayitis knowing its all for a good cause…to allow us to support the economy.

So, as you’ve probably realised this is my first blog for myGC.com and I thrilled to be able to bring you each week the latest and greatest of everything FASHION on the GC !!! Who’s doing what in the Industry, fashion events, where to grab a bargain, latest trends, hot looks, styling tips and much much more.
