Keep an eye out for Make Up Store’s Beauty Bar (one of our most favourite Make up brands), whilst satisfying those 5pm hunger pains thanks to some special delis nibbles from the likes of Crust and Spiedo. There’ll also be a chance to win a $500 100 Squared wardrobe on the night.

With only 12 sleeps to go, I must admit I am a little excited for this years Mercedes – Benz Fashion Week Australia. The annual fashion industry event of the year where the best of the best Australia Designers come together to showcase their individuality. Having just returned from a 6 mth break from work – and no I wasn’t sitting at Karma Kandara sipping cocktails, I was having a crash course in becoming a mum 101 and nappy changing. An amazing journey but as any new mum will tell you it is the hardest unpaid job (financially that is), you do get paid in love every time a tiny smile appears, but I must admit, I am very much looking forward to re-joining the world of fashion and people and seeing what space is left in my brain to be excited by what is showcased at Fashion Week. With the weeks schedule filing up nicely, I am quite taken by the invitations that I have received to attend various shows, which I promise to report on daily and bring you my opinion on the must haves for the upcoming season. There are a raft of international fashion bloggers also attending – Style Bubble, Street Peeper and Jak&Jil to name a few, the week will be anything but boring even if we have seen Dion Lee and Josh Goot slip away from the line up.

For those not Industry associated, fear not Mercedes Benz does bring together an amazing Fashion Festival for the general public every year – this year in Sydney it’s 22-25 August 2012. Not long now till Melbourne comes alive again with the LMFF festival, one of my favourite fashion festivals of the year, practical, informative and a great way to catch up with old friends and make new ones. It’s an annual celebration of fashion, design, business and everything creative.

And no I am not talking about grabbing a crunchy, I’m talking about cullachange. Having been a fan of these guys for years, thought we would share the love. Based in Devonshire St in Surry Hills, these guys are the experts in dying clothes. Rosemary Wright is the dyer of dyers. When times get tough she says ‘dye don’t buy’. Cullachance grew out of the garment dying for the rag trade. They can do bulk dyeing to customised colour matching.

My favourite is their Batch Dyeing service which has breathed new life into various black bottoms of mine from stains, bleach and fading from being worn with so much love….now no longer a reason to pass onto the gods.

Given every time I attempt to paint my nails myself, it ends up looking like I’ve been finger painting and without the luxury of now being able to pop off for a mani or pedi whenever suits me I have discovered a saviour. Seriously, one coat of this nail polish takes your nails from looking like mum/housewife/cleaner to I’m a new mum who’s got it all together. Ok slight exaggeration, who ever has it together as a new mum, but it will have you feeling more confident about how your nails look and not wanting to walk around worried about who’s looking at your hands….and before you sinics out there ask, no I am not endorsed by or have any affiliation with anyone from Cutux, it’s just a product, I’ve found, that works for me, so thought I’d be ever so kind and share it with you. If we all shared one good thing a day, surely that would make life a little easier? You can pick it up pretty much anywhere – Coles, Pricelines, your local chemist. Seriously, you will thank me! And it is only $6, even I can afford that not working.

The French Pink is my favourite, looks like I’ve had a French Manicure….if only.
